PROPOSITION FIRE

Faster Response, Stronger Protection, Invest in Safety

  •

Vote YES on Proposition Fire – April 2026 Ballot

The Highlandville Rural Fire Protection District (HRFPD) is asking for your support in the April 2026 election. "Proposition Fire" is a proposed tax increase to ensure our community receives the fire protection and emergency medical services it deserves.

Why is this needed?

  • No Tax Increase Since 1993 – We have managed our budget responsibly, but with rising costs, we now need additional funding to maintain and improve services.
  • Add Paid Firefighter/EMTs – Currently, about 25% of calls during daytime hours go unanswered. This leaves a burden on CCAD and neighboring agencies when they are available.
  • Equipment & Apparatus Upgrades – Keeping our firefighters equipped with modern, reliable tools to serve the community.
  • Building Maintenance – Ensuring our stations remain operational and safe for our firefighters and community members.

The Proposed Tax Increase We are requesting an increase of $0.23 per $100 of assessed valuation. This small investment in public safety will have a significant impact on response times and service reliability. (On average, this is approximately $25 - $50 increase)

How This Benefits You

  • Faster response times for fire and medical emergencies
  • More reliable service during daytime hours
  • Reduced reliance on outside agencies
  • Improved firefighter safety and resources

A YES vote on Proposition Fire ensures better public safety for Highlandville, Saddlebrooke, Spokane, Chestnutridge and portions of Galena & Ozark

Your support matters! Vote YES on Proposition Fire this April 2026.
